With the possibility of everyone coming back to work all week, will the agency still be flexible with working from home? (I.e. we are sick and cant come in but are still well enough to work from home)

There has been no agency decision on changing current policy and/or developing a new policy regarding remote work. The Office of Head Start (OHS) has communicated clear expectations that programs return to normal operations as long as there is no health/safety risk related to COVID in the local community. They have determined that virtual services is not an effective delivery model that impacts child and family outcomes, therefore programs will not be offering virtual visits as an option. In reference to the example in the question posted, we are committed to the well-being of staff and if someone is sick, we are encouraging self-care so that you can be your best self when returning to work. The commitment and passion for doing the work often prevents us from taking time to rest and re-charge. As supervisors, we will be promoting this even more as we know the additional support children and families will need coming out of the pandemic. As always, if you have questions about your individual situation, please talk with your supervisor as the agency has always, and will continue to have options for individual circumstances.
